We are now registered with Ofsted
So far it's been a rather busy summer for Erin and I! We are extremely pleased to announce that Ofsted have visited us and have registered us to open from September. DfE Approvals Obtained
We are delighted to report that all DfE approvals have come through successfully and we are now just awaiting our Ofsted registration visit which will take place over the Summer Holidays. New open morning planned - Friday 10th May 2024
We are excited to announce an open morning that will be hosted by us at The Clifton Children's House on Friday 10th May at 10.00am until 11.00am. As there is still a different nursery running from the site of the future Hotwells Children's House, we are unable to run our own open mornings from there. Instead, the owner of the nursery we currently manage is kindly allowing us to invite families for a tour of her nursery. We hope that this tour will give families a feel for us and for the sort of Montessori setting and environment that we plan to offer at Hotwells Children's House. Consultation has closed
Hotwells Primary School's consultation period has now closed. This will now be reviewed and following this, an application will be made to the Department for Education to seek approval to close their existing provision. Alongside this process we will start our application for Ofsted registration. From tomorrow we will begin sending out application forms to all interested families. Consultation
Thank you everyone for your interest in our new setting, we are very excited to share more information with you. We are at the stage where Hotwells Primary School have opened the consultation to close their existing provision, and we will find out the success of that in March. It then only remains for the DfE to approve the plans and for Ofsted to register our new setting.
Our waiting list of those who have expressed interest is already long. We encourage you to contact us early if you are interested in your child attending either from this September or next. We now have an Admissions Policy too. This policy outlines our admissions criteria detailing how we must prioritise our intake.
We plan to hold an open day at our current setting in late March, so please keep an eye on your inboxes if you have registered your interest. This will be a chance to meet us get a sense of what our setting will be like, and ask us any questions you have. We will have registration forms available for you to fill in to apply for a space.

The Building
Due to the replacement of the School’s heating system, we will begin September 2024 in a Portacabin. Whilst this is not ideal, it is a temporary measure. It will be a similar size to our usual space and will have the same beautiful and high quality Montessori resources. It also means that when we move into our permanent venue it will be newly decorated and fitted. We will also be working alongside the school to redevelop their Early Years outdoor area.
